History

Description.

Mayken Homeschool was founded in 2012. It is a non-formal school which prepares the students to take National Exams known as Paket A for  Elementary Level, Paket B for Middle School Level and Paket C for High School Level (equivalent to GED) which is  offered by Indonesia Ministry of National Education.  Rather than studying at home with their parents or private teachers, Mayken Homeschool students study several core subjects  at a designated place helped by their instructors.

Curriculum.

Students are taught 45 minutes class daily from 9 a.m.  to 14 p.m. studying 6 main subjects such as Indonesian, English, Mathematics, Science, Civics, and Social Studies. The subject materials are in accordance with the National Curriculum Syllabus of 2013 designed by the Ministry of National Education. Besides this Academic requirement, students on regular basis are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities like taekwondo, arts, cooking, and choir.
